E-Man, it might not be ideal, but go to: http://www.youtube.com/cosmicpanda and get the cosmicpanda UI and thus utilise HTML5 instead of Flash, meaning you can now view YT videos.

Looks solid already, Haven't had a chance to play yet but hopefully over the weekend I can get to "play"

Hmmm... I installed adobe-flashplugin, booted, but still this:

And...i wonder how i got the sound in youtube if there was no flash in my system? Normally there is only black screen if you haven't got flash installed. I don' know... Pre-Alpha, so...

I believe you installed Fglrx (additional driver). Better not install it if the opensource one can do the job or wait until it is out of bug.

I tried installing Fglrx and met the same problem, in popup menu, panel, some texts. Removing it also removed 3D acceleration, which left me with only fallback mode.

This gave me back my original driver in case someone needs it

You're right, i had Nvidia Current installed. I removed it, now youtube plays ok. I should've guessed that it's the graphics driver...
