Thanks kantoquad, but i think i'll stick with the current, because the only thing that doesn't work for me with it is youtube. I just use Minitube until the system updates correct things with the Nvidia.

What Nvidia drivers are you gents using ?

Last night I finally got pinguy OS running the way I want on my desktop by compiling kernel 3.1 along with the Nvidia drivers from their website.

Yeah I had problems with suspend to ram using pinguy 11.04 stock kernels and 285 so I ended up biting the bullet and compiling. Performance was also bumped a little after stripping as much bloat out of the ubuntu kernel as I could.

Hi all,

the thing is running fine (ish) but here is a little list of what I want for Xmas:

1. The Control Center lacks lots of features which we are all used to and need.
2. Cannot add to top panel. (Still an issue in 11.04)
3. The chosen themes are not particularly nice or suited to it.
4. Drop the idea of "Mate" as there are a number of Gnome progs that won't work with it; and if you are sticking by the Gnome desktop, I see no need to have it!!.

These are my opinions and are not necessarily shared by others on this forum.
