Totally agree with massively multiplayer being crap.
Much have I a preference for single player games.

Agreed, but it is not just MMO's, I can't STAND the pubescent posturing on Call of Duty multiplayer and unfortunately it's not just that game, its present on a LOT of games,whether played via PC or Console

I understand the feeling.
I used to frequently find myself deriving far more enjoyment from bashing on such pubescent nonsense than I did actually playing the game itself when connected.
LOLing...those were the days.

WoW!! Now that was cool, if a bit grainy.
Still, L4D is a great game, I can't see it becoming a great "franchise" given its 'one-note' game play, After all there are only so many zombies you can kill, and so many ways to do it. Look at Dead Island to see how to do AND not do, a "sand-pit" openworld game about zombies.
All the Best, bty there are plans to do a MMO of L4D, (nearest comparison I can think of is Capcom's online Resident Evil attempts, which were ambitious,but flawed)
