Did you install the package: mintwifi??, it is in the repo!!. It is a metapackage for wifi drivers!!.

Sorry to say that, I will have to wait till 12.04 otherwise will have to wait till my laptop is fully supported with Ubuntu. From now on, I will be trying out Mint 12, and see how i go. Will post back as soon as I have success in the next couple of days. Thanks guys for your help, but unfortunately Pinguy is not fully supported on my laptop yet.

Pinguy worked out of the box on my dells (both lappies and desktop) and my netbook (acer)
choice of version is up to you though.
I have used and still use many different distros (except winhosed and the bad apple os,s)
but pinguy os is my mainstay and has been since it first came out!

Installing mint 12 as i speak with wireless connection out of the box, its working happily. will let u all know how it all goes when the installation is done

Hi Ray,

did you install the mintwifi package in Pinguy OS like I suggested??, it is the same package as Mint!. (
